Welcome to Seething and Mundham Primary School

Seething and Mundham is a small primary school, situated in Seething, a small village in south Norfolk, located in a modern building (we opened in 2010) on the site of the historic village school. This blend of the traditional and the new reflects the type of school we are – forward looking and innovative while also being deeply rooted in our local community. We are proud to be part of Sapientia Education Trust (SET) which has several small schools like ours as well as larger primary and secondary academies.

Our school is a happy one where everyone is respected and valued. We pride ourselves on creating a happy, friendly, and nurturing environment in which children can learn and develop confidently. We hold high expectations of all our children and encourage them not only to make academic progress, but also develop as people who care for each other and the natural world around them. All our children are encouraged to become responsible, global citizens who appreciate the needs of others and have a strong sense of personal self-esteem and confidence.

We currently have four classes – Bittern which comprises of reception and year 1, Kestrel a mix of year 2 and 3, Harriers which is a standalone year 4 class and Hawks that encompasses years 5 and 6.

An incredibly important element of our school is our Forest school led by Mrs Denmark and assisted by Mrs Norton, Forest school is an opportunity for children to learn outdoors in our fantastic grounds. Forest school allows for children to apply learning in out of context ways and deepens not only their cultural capital but also linguistic competency.
